Describe the exercise and assessment process. What did you discover about yourself?

I closed my eyes, trying to reach a "quiet mind", and asked myself what aspect of my life I would like to address. I discovered that I really have to repeatedly remind myself to correct the lifestyle that led to this disease, type II diabetes, not just going on as I have been.

What area have you chosen to be a focus of growth and development?

I chose biological, as I have recently developed type II diabetes.

Why?

It is something that I can correct.

What are some specific exercises or activities that you can implement to foster greater wellness in this area?

More exercise, better diet, is the best plan I can implement for the treatment of this.

  1. Diet and exercise is always a great place to start, but as with all things we probably also need to ask, besides diet and exercise, what other areas may have contributed to my current condition? Are the other areas such as psychospiritual, interpersonal, and worldly area all in order? Or do I have others areas that also need to be developed?

  2. OK Mark, i read your words and am wondering- if you know what you need to do to assist in the removing of Type II diabetes are you will to apply it? That is always the question. In the Eastern medical field i have learn one thing is true. If you do not follow your nature things will go bad. They can be from the subtlest to great big things. How is your weight? Do you have someone to push you a bit? Do you have a place to go when things get tough in life where you can clear your mind and take a breath? Just wondering....

  3. I agree with Anabel, diet and exercise are the first thing to start with. You will find that with a healthy diet change and adding some exercise in it will change your outcome. I am an avid Biggest Loser fan and it always amazes me that with diet and exercise these contestants that come on with diabetes and on multiple drugs can change it around in a matter of weeks. You know what you need to do, now just do it and get your life back! Good luck to you ;)
